Not Just a Shopping Trip...An Experience!

Uncle Giuseppe’s opened its first marketplace at 2330 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, New York, in November 2001. The concept brought the personal service of a neighborhood butcher, bakery, seafood market, deli, and specialty shop together with the convenience of a full-service supermarket.

That same idea continues to shape every Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace today. Guests can shop everyday groceries, discover Italian specialties, meet knowledgeable teams behind the counters, and watch fresh foods being prepared throughout the store from morning through evening.

Since 2001, Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace has grown from one store into a family of locations, sharing fresh food, Italian tradition, and memorable shopping with more communities.

    East Meadow, NY Opens

    It all started in East Meadow, where Uncle Giuseppe's welcomed its very first customers and introduced a different kind of grocery shopping inspired by traditional Italian marketplaces.

    Smithtown, NY Opens

    With East Meadow becoming a neighborhood favorite, Uncle Giuseppe's expanded into Suffolk County and welcomed even more families to the marketplace.

    Port Washington, NY Opens

    The North Shore got its own Uncle Giuseppe's, making handcrafted foods, specialty departments, and everyday favorites.

    Port Jefferson Station, NY Opens

    As demand continued to grow, Uncle Giuseppe's opened one of its largest marketplaces yet, giving even more Long Islanders room to explore everything under one roof.

    Massapequa, NY Opens

    Uncle Giuseppe's made its South Shore debut in Massapequa, introducing a new destination for fresh foods, artisan departments, and authentic Italian favorites.

    Ramsey, NJ Opens

    A major milestone—the Uncle Giuseppe's family grew beyond New York with its very first New Jersey marketplace, bringing the brand to Bergen County.

    Melville, NY Opens

    Melville opened and became the flagship Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, showcasing everything the brand is known for in one of its largest and most complete locations.

    Massapequa Marketplace Expands

    As more shoppers discovered the Massapequa marketplace, the store expanded to create even more room for the fresh departments and customer favorites that made it a local destination.

    Yorktown Heights, NY Opens

    Westchester County officially joined the Uncle Giuseppe's family, introducing a whole new community to the marketplace for the first time.

    North Babylon, NY Opens

    North Babylon became the company's seventh Long Island marketplace and ninth overall, bringing one of Uncle Giuseppe's most complete shopping experiences to western Suffolk County.

    Morris Plains, NJ Opens

    After shoppers from Morris County regularly traveled to Ramsey, Uncle Giuseppe's opened Morris Plains to bring its destination marketplace experience even closer to home.
